IDF Striking Hezbollah Gold, Military Assets in Lebanon - Updated Video report
IDF intensifies attacks against key Hezbollah financial, ops centers and nodes in Beirut and other areas
Lebanese Ba’albek residents (presumably...) scavenging in the rubble of one of Hezbollah's now former "banks" looking for scattered gold, jewelry, and currencies in the wake of one of Israel's bombing raids on the Iranian-backed proxy.
Strikes like this are talking place across the Lebanese capital's Dahiya neighborhood where the terror group has - and is quickly becoming - "had" it's headquarter strongholds, arsenals, weapons factories, and command and control centers.
The IDF has airdropped maps and leaflets, utilized social media and direct SMS messages to warn non-combatants to leave the designated areas:
Army Spokesman, Rear Admiral Daniel Hagari, in televised briefings, has warned residents to clear our of areas that are to be hit - even at the risk of Hezbollah operatives also fleeing to regroup elsewhere:
This clip shows Hezbollah PR chief, Muhammad Afif, at a press conference on Tuesday in Beirut, just as they get word that the IDF—via a warning in Arabic from Spokesman Avichai Adra'ee—that civilians must evacuate the area before the army commences bombing. “The bombings don't frighten us,” Afif declared as news crews hurriedly gathered their microphones and fled. A short time later, two angles of the Israeli attack. At one point you can see the IDF munition striking the building:
Here's the IDF Spokesman's latest roundup of recent activity against both Hezbollah, and in Gaza, Hamas:
"In the past day, the IDF attacked more than 230 terrorist targets in Lebanon and the Gaza Strip, including three headquarters of the air unit of the terrorist organization Hezbollah (Unit 127) deep in Lebanon; about 15 terrorists were killed in an attack on a Hezbollah military base in southern Lebanon.
"During the last day, the Air Force attacked more than 230 terrorist targets of the terrorist organizations Hezbollah and Hamas throughout Lebanon and the Gaza Strip. Among the targets were attacked three headquarters of the air unit of the terrorist organization Hezbollah (Unit 127), which is believed, among other things, to launch drones towards the State of Israel.
"In recent days, the 91st Division continues its offensive and focused activity in the South Lebanon region against the terrorist organization Hezbollah, in parallel with the defense missions of the Galilee settlements.
"The forces of the 36th and 146th divisions operating in southern Lebanon have eliminated terrorists from the ground and from the air in the past day, attacked dozens of terrorist targets, and destroyed many weapons.
"The forces of the 98th Division identified a military base of the Hezbollah terrorist organization in which terrorists who posed a threat to the forces were operating. Using intelligence gathered in the division, Air Force fighter jets attacked the military base, foiled the threat, and eliminated the terrorists who were operating there. About 15 Hezbollah terrorists were killed in the attack.
"In the Gaza Strip, the forces of Division 162 continued fighting in the Jabaliya area and, at the same time, allowed civilians to evacuate safely from the fighting area through arranged routes. As a result, thousands of citizens evacuated, of which dozens of terrorist operatives were arrested.
The forces of the 401st Brigade eliminated in one attack about ten terrorists who were operating and posed a threat near the forces.
"In the last day, the Air Force, in cooperation with the Southern Command, attacked a launcher in the Rafah area with rockets ready to be launched towards the territory of the country. The Gaza and 252nd divisions destroyed terrorist infrastructure and located weapons.
"In addition, the forces of the Northern Brigade under the command of the Gaza Division completed a brigade operation in the area of Beit Lahia in the north of the Gaza Strip. The forces destroyed several shafts and a launcher with five barrels."
