IDF Hammering 'Major' Hezbollah Site in S. Lebanon - Video
The Nabateih District target is an extensive tunnel complex, according to the IDF, hit in two waves of 20 Air Force strikes. Rolling updates.
The Israeli Air Force carried out a major attack on hidden Hezbollah underground bunkers and related military sites at several locations in southern Lebanon Thursday morning, the Army said.
Israel Radio said that terrorists were present at the target. Lebanese Health Ministry sources said one person was killed and eight wounded in the IAF attack.
IDF Spokesperson:
“A short while ago, fighter jets attacked a site used to manage the fire and defense system of the Hezbollah terrorist organization in the area of the Beaufort ridge in southern Lebanon.
“Terrorists, weapons and shafts were attacked at the site. This site is part of a significant underground project that was put out of use following IDF attacks.
“The existence of the site and its activities constitute a blatant violation of the understandings between Israel and Lebanon.”
“Israeli security source quoted by Al-Hadath TV: ‘The Israeli Air Force attacked a Hezbollah military compound in Nabatieh that included tunnels, weapons and anti-tank missiles,’” according to Israeli reporter, Sapir Lipkin of Ch. 12 News.
Additionally, “Lebanese reports are emerging that claim Israeli drones dropped counterfeit banknotes warning residents of southern Lebanon not to take money from Hezbollah: ‘Hezbollah's dollar is forbidden. Don't get the yellow dollar’” according to Israeli Galatz Army Radio reporter, Roi Kass.
Israel has been hitting numerous Hezbollah and related terror targets, including a series of drone strike attacks against senior operatives citing the cease-fire accord which went into effect on Nov. 27th, 2024, after 14 months of fighting between Israel and the Iranian-backed terrorist proxy.
