Death toll rises to 7 in Hezbollah rocket strikes on Metulla, Haifa suburb - video, updates
Five were hit while they worked in the fields near the battered northern village, which is surrounded by hostile Lebanese territory on three sides

Five civilians—a local Israeli farmer and four foreign workers—were killed in a Hezbollah rocket attack on Metula in the Galilee Panhandle, Metula Regional Council chief, David Azulai, told Reshet Bet Israeli radio Thursday afternoon.
”Omer Weinstein (right), 47, a veteran farmer and father of four, was killed by a rocket strike while working in an orchard near the border. Alongside him, four Thai workers were also killed. His father, Moshe, who was at the scene, was physically unharmed,” according to Jewish Breaking News.
Update: Two Israelis—a mother and son— Mina Shafiq Hason, 60, and Barmi Raj'a Hason, 21, of Shafaram were killed later on by shrapnel from a barrage of rockets that hit as they were harvesting olives in a nearby grove.
Similar salvos of rockets into civilian areas across northern Israel continue as of this update.
Update, Nov. 1st:
"Hayan [first-responder ambulance] teams treated eleven wounded people in the village of Sha'ab [west of Carmiel], including five children and a pregnant woman. The rest of the injured were elderly men. Most of the injuries were defined as minor, except for one injury to a man in his thirties, whose condition was defined as moderate and who was evacuated to a trauma facility at the Galilee Medical Center," Israel Hayom reported.
They were hit—as were the mother and son the previous day—during the seasonal olive harvest.
A fifth foreign worker who survived the deadly two-rocket salvo was airlifted to Rambam Medical Center in Haifa, where he was rushed into surgery after being struck by shrapnel in the attack, according to Magen David Adom paramedic officials.
The five were killed while working in an apple orchard near the Lebanese border, according to Ynet reporter, Yair Krause.
The volley hit just as Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, met with White House envoys, Amos Hochstein and Brett McGurk, over a possible ceasefire with the Iranian-backed terror proxy.
A short time later, in the central Galilee, one person in Carmiel sustained “minor” blast injuries in a second, larger barrage, according to Israel Radio.
“Following the alerts that were activated between 12:21-12:23 in the Central Galilee, Upper Galilee and Western Galilee areas, about 30 launches were detected that crossed into the country from Lebanon,” the IDF Spokesperson said in a statement.
I was able to video the barrage which was fired at civilian towns and villages, about two miles away from my own village:
