Nice to see you in your beekeeping garb. I notice your veil attaches and closes differently than most of ours in the US. What flavor of bees do have and are they what's common in Israel.
I think I recall that at one time there was a Mediterranean specific bee species. The ones most folks have here are Carniolan/Italian crosses, so some really black ones and some mostly yellow with everything in between. I uncap the way shown on the video.
There must be a lot of scrap metal falling out of the sky. Recycling program to pick that up and reuse for Iron Dome? Or?
Thanks again for your updates. The best ones for me are when you are taking photos and vids of the countryside and what's going-on.
There are many, many kinds of beekeeping veils, worldwide, and this is just one - it’s not country-specific; we just happen to order ours from the UK - but it could be from anywhere.
Pretty much the Italian breed, like in the States and elsewhere.
Not really, but it’s good to spend that 10 minutes undercover to 1) keep a wind-blown shard from hitting you at possibly terminal velocity - in both senses of the word. 2) keep the roads open for rescue crews. 3) give yourself a few moments to decompress and get on with your day.
