I wonder -- you know that the IDF has scrambled WAZE and Google Maps and, I suppose, other navigation softward so I don't know how much precision they can get with their missiles. On the other hand, the IAF does precision attacks, so there is a way. And even us regular folk know how to work around the scrambling to get directions to where we are driving. So I suppose they can aim precisely if they have precision weapons, right?
Inertial systems require no outside referencing. However, there are defensive systems that are capable of frying the missile's electronics. I imagine if Israel has this technology, it wisely isn't broadcasting.
Iron Dome seems to be the primary defense. Of interest are the recent missiles making their way through that system.
